Last week I was asked to help out at the Sayulitanimals spay and neuter clinic. I was freaked out at first, but after awhile I got used to it! It was so cool! The doctors and volunteers first put the dogs/cats in kennels and then give them anesthesia. Then they get the dog/cat from the kennel and wipe off the bacteria on the area where the doctor will do the operation.

When the doctors have the animals in the operating room, they put the dog or cat on a table that helps the animals lay down flat. They then remove the reproductive organs. Then, when the doctors are finished, they bring the animal into the calm area, where all the helpers and some doctors are making sure the animals are okay. In that area, everyone was taking the animal's temperature and checking their heartbeat. When the animal wakes up, the helpers put it in a kennel.
