Progress Continues on Sayulita's Arch Entrance

Along with the recent renovations to Sayulita's downtown roads and plaza, the governor of Nayarit, Roberto Sandoval included a brand new adobe-style archway at the entrance of Sayulita in the plans to make Sayulita one of Nayarit's "paradise towns" also known as "magic towns." The construction on the arch began on February 15th, one month later than originally planned. Currently the arch at the entrance of town is 70% completed states architect Alberto Trejo who is employed by Campo Lugo Construction Company from Tepic carrying out Sayulita's renovations.

Architect Alberto Trejo confirms that the basic structure of the arch is done, as the 12 workers move forward with the final framework. The entrance arch will boast large letters across the top that will say "Sayulita" and underneath include the wording "Paraiso Nayarita." The archway will be illuminated from several angles and include palapa finishings on both sides of the arch. Additional materials to complete the arch are expected to arrive next week and Alberto Trejo estimates another three weeks until the Archway is finished. In the meantime traffic in and out of Sayulita is directly around the concrete structure.

La Construcción Sigue en el Arco de Entrada

Junto con las construcciones contempladas para el centro de Sayulita en la plaza, el gobernador de Nayarit también incluyo la construcción de un arco a la entrada de Sayulita en sus planes para convertir Sayulita en uno de los pueblos mágicos o paraísos nayaritas. La construcción del arco comenzó el 15 de febrero, un mes mas tarde que habían planeado. Actualmente el arco esta 70% terminado dice arquitecto Alberto Trejo quien trabaja para Camp Lugo, la constructora ejecutando las renovaciones de Sayulita.

El arquitecto Alberto Trejo confirma que la base de la estructura del arco ya esta hecho, mientras los doce trabajadores en la obra acaban con lo básico de la construcción. El arco contara con iluminación por diferentes ángulos del arco, incluirá acabados de palapa en ambos lados. Mas materiales para acabar el arco llegaran la próxima semana y Alberto Trejo calcula que el arco estará terminado en tres semanas. Mientras tanto, el trafico se desvía por alrededor de la estructura de concreto.
