You might know that Grupo Pro Sayulita has many volunteers, who help with various programs, all helping our town tremendously. Behind the scenes, as a registered non-profit Mexican organization, there is a legal structure. This structure consists of a board of directors and this board is elected annually by our registered voting members.

When Grupo Pro Sayulita was first formed, there were 11 original voting members. With our desire to add volunteers who had become active in helping with all our programs, the number increased from 11 to 40 as of last January. And at the last January meeting, the voting members elected its 2011 board, consisting of I (Eric Rudd) as President, Cheryl Vaughan as Treasurer, Suzanne Gravelle as Secretary and board members Lazaro Garcia Cardenas, Marcos Scott, Damien Porter and Nick Sherman. The seven of us served the past year as board members and/or officers, but in reality, we worked on all sorts of programs and efforts.

If you have been active and want your name to be placed in nomination for this election to be a voting member, please let us know.  And if you have not been active (in which case you might not be nominated) or for a personal reason you no longer want your name in nomination to be a 2012 voting member, please let Suzanne know right away. Although the voting is scheduled at 6 PM, everyone is invited to our public meeting starting at 7 PM until 8 PM on Monday, February 6. There will be light refreshments. The meeting will be held at the Cultural Center, in the heart of Sayulita (next to Los Afortunados Restaurant).

Please come and hear what's going on.  If you are a voting member, please schedule to come at 6 PM for the vote. Grupo Pro Sayulita needs a legal quorum - which means we need 21 voting members to come - and we need your participation to continue next year.

Usted quizás sepa que Grupo Pro Sayulita tiene a muchos voluntarios, que ayudan con varios programas -- toda la porción nuestro pueblo tremendamente. Entre bastidores, como una organización mexicana, sin fines lucrativos y registrado, hay una estructura legal. Esta estructura consiste en una junta directiva, y esta tabla es elegida anualmente por nuestro votar registrado a miembros.

Cuando Grupo Pro Sayulita fue formado primero, había 11 miembros electorales originales. Con nuestro deseo para agregar a voluntarios que habían llegado a ser activos en ayudar con todos nuestros programas, el número aumentó de 11 a 40 al el mes de enero pasado. Y en el encontrando el mes de enero pasado, los miembros electorales eligieron su 2011 tabla, consistiendo en yo (Eric Rudd) como presidente, Cheryl Vaughan como Tesorero, Suzanne Gravelle como Secretario, y miembros de tabla Lazaro Garcia Cardenas, Marcos Scott,  Damien Porter y Nick Sherman. El siete de nosotros servimos el año pasado como miembros de tabla y/o oficiales, pero en la realidad, nosotros trabajamos en todo tipo de programas y esfuerzos.

Si ha sido activo y desea que su nombre sea colocado en la nominación para esta elección para ser un miembro electoral, sepamos por favor. Y si usted no ha sido activo (en cuál caso que usted no quizás sea nombrado) ni para una razón personal usted ya no desea que su nombre en la nominación sea un 2012 miembro electoral, permite por favor que Suzanne sabe en seguida. Aunque el votar sea planificado a las 6 de la tarde a la Cutura Centre, todos son invitados a nuestro público que encuentra comenzar a las 7 de la tarde hasta 8 P.M. Habrá refrescos ligeros.
