I've been sick a lot lately and have been in to see Dr. Moy so many times I thought it might be cool to get to know him better. So I went in to ask him a few questions about himself.

We sat down in his Sayulita office and I asked him a couple of questions about his childhood.

I asked when he knew he wanted to be a doctor, then I asked if he treated his family when they were sick when he was younger. He told me his mother had fevers often and needed him to perform the injections for her. He was only 13 when he learned how to give her shots and it was very scary for him. He said he was shaky and afraid but did it because she needed them. He told me that he was 18 when he knew for sure that being a doctor was the career he wanted to pursue.

He was a computer programmer and a paramedic before becoming a doctor. He went to school for seven and a half years to practice medicine and graduated from UNAM, la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México.

Dr. Moy's favorite part of being a doctor is treating newborn babies. I can see that, my baby cousin is really cute. When he is not in the office he likes to play on his computer, watch movies and eat in the Sayulita plaza. He wishes he had a dog but is too busy right now to give it the time it needs.

 

I hope you enjoyed learning about Dr. Moy. When you are sick, it is difficult get to know someone. I enjoyed being well and getting to know Dr. Moy!
