Two main streets on Gringo Hill have been paved, thanks to a group of concerned residents. The contractor, Alejandro, who was hired independently, had done a great job when he paved another road in the same area last summer. Most of the residents on the hill contributed to the project.

The paving on Gabriel Rodriguez stretches from the existing pavement at the blue palm tree all the way to the top of that street and then goes up the steep hill of calle Puesta del Sol to the cell phone tower at the top of the circle, and then back down to the blue palm. There are also a couple of drainage grates being installed to control water flow into the arroyo. The work started in early May and was completed this week.

The project was organized by Michele Cominos and Larry Dybvig and the contribution amount for each property was divided into two groups. The owners at the top of the hill which is already paved, were asked to contribute less money, as they had already contributed a larger sum per household to have it paved a few years ago. Those who own properties where it is not yet paved were asked to contribute a slightly larger sum of money. There were six properties at the top of the hill and eleven homeowners near the bottom. This kept the cost fairly reasonable considering the quality of work being done.

The cobblestoned surfaces are a welcome addition to the steep slopes, particularly in the rainy season, and Puesto del Sol and Gabriel Rodriguez residents are happy with the completed roadwork.

Pavimentación de Gringo Hill

Dos calles principales de Gringo Hill han sido pavimentadas gracias a un grupo de residentes. Había seis propiedades en la parte superior de la colina y once propietarios de viviendas en la parte inferior. Esto mantuvo el costo bastante razonable para la calidad del trabajo realizado.

Las superficies adoquinadas son una adición bienvenida a la colina, sobre todo en la temporada de lluvias, y los residentes de las calles Puesto del Sol y Gabriel Rodríguez están contentos con la obra completada.
