Sunday, my friends, parents and I went on a camping trip near Mascota, Jalisco. It took 3 hours to get from Sayulita to Mascota. When we got to the campsite we put up our tents and put everything where it needed to be. We had tons of food and sweets. After that we started making dinner, had vegetarian Sloppy Joe's and cake. Then we made a campfire and gathered sticks to roast gigantic marshmallows. We sat around the fire and made s'mores late into the night. It was very quiet and beautiful.

It's really cold at night and in the morning, so I was glad we brought jeans, jackets, and socks.  The next morning it rained and got very muddy and our shoes were all dirty with mud. So if you want to bring fancy clothes that you don't want to get dirty, don't bring them camping.

After everyone ate breakfast we went exploring. We saw lots of cows and cactuses on our walk. When we were at the end of the trail we saw a river stream and followed it to where there was a watering hole. Since there were no showers at the campsite in Mascota, we took our showers there. It was so hot in the afternoon we stayed at the waterhole until it was time for dinner. I advise you to bring your swimsuit and light clothes too. At the waterhole there is a slide made out of black lava rocks that goes down to where there is a pool of water. It has sand that is like quicksand all around. Every rock in the water hole is very slippery so we were careful not to fall.

When it was time to eat dinner we went back to our tents and saw that there were cows everywhere! The cows were coming closer and closer when we saw them, luckily Daisy the dog was there and scared them away. We had couscous and roasted vegetables and more Sloppy Joe's. When we were finished eating it started pouring rain and thundering. It was scary because the storm was very close. When the storm was over we laid by the beautiful warm fire before it was time to go to bed.

In the morning Andrea, Tamara, Talula, Theo, Mom, Maxxi and I went to town to get more water. On the way to the town there is a playground where Talula and I wanted to go. But we could not go into the playground because lightning had struck it! A lot of the trees were on the ground and some had crushed the slides. Some electrical poles were on the ground cracked in half! After we were finished looking at the playground we went to the town of Mascota.The town has lots of stores, restaurants and ice-cream places. It is a bigger town than Sayulita. We went to a museum of rocks. Everything was covered in rocks, even the pillows on the beds! While Tamara, Theo and Andrea were buying the water, Mom took the kids to a hat store. Maxxi found a pink hat he liked a lot and wore it until we needed to leave and go back to our campsite. When were driving back to the campsite we saw some beautiful horses.When we got back, we made dinner and I fell asleep by the fire. Hanging around the fire talking with Gabi and Andrea was my favorite part of camping.
The next morning all we did was put tents away and eat breakfast. After those two things we got in the car and drove home to Sayulita. I had a great time camping near Mascota. I hope you will too!

Ir de Camping en Mascota

El domingo mis amigos, mis padres y yo fuimos a un campamento cerca de Mascota, Jalisco. Nos duró 3 horas de Sayulita para llegar a Mascota. Cuando llegamos al campamento, pusimos nuestras tiendas y colocamos todas las cosas.Tuvimos muchos alimentos y dulces.Después de eso comenzamos a hacer la cena, y comimos Sloppy Joe's vegetarianos y un pastel.Luego hicimos una fogata y recogimos leña para asar malvaviscos gigantescos.Nos sentamos alrededor del fuego y trasnochamos preparando s'mores. Todo estaba muy tranquilo y hermoso.
Hacía mucho frío en la noche y la mañana, así que me alegro de que hayamos traído jeans, chaquetas, y calcetines. La mañana siguiente, llovió y se puso muy fangoso y los zapatos estaban sucios de barro.Así que, si quieres llevar ropa elegante y no quieres ensuciarte, no la lleves a camping.

Después de que todos comieron el desayuno nos fuimos a explorar. Vimos un montón de vacas y cactus en nuestra caminata. Cuando estábamos en el final del camino vimos una corriente del río y la siguimos hasta se formó un agujero de riego. Como no había duchas en el camping en Mascota, tomamos nuestras duchas allí. Hacía tanto calor en la tarde nos quedamos en el pozo de agua hasta la hora de cenar. Te aconsejo que traiga su traje de baño y ropa ligera también. En el ojo de agua hay una diapositiva hecha de piedras de lava negra que llega hasta donde hay un charco de agua. Es de arena que es como arenas movedizas por todas partes. Cada piedra en el ojo de agua es muy resbaladiza así que tuvimos que tener mucho cuidado de no caernos.

Cuando llegó la hora de cenar, volvimos a nuestras tiendas y vio que había vacas por todas partes!  Las vacas andaban cada vez más cerca cuando las vimos, por suerte el perro Daisy estaba allí y las echó a fuera. Comimos verduras asadas y cuscús y más Sloppy Joes. Cuando terminamos de comer comenzó a lloviznar y tronar. Me daba miedo porque la tormenta estaba muy cerca. Cuando la tormenta había pasado, nos acercamos al calor de la fogate antes de acostarnos.

Por la mañana, Andrea, Tamara, Talula, Theo, Mamá, Maxxi y yo fuimos a la ciudad para comprar más agua. Al camino a la ciudad hay un parque infantil donde Talula y yo quería ir. Pero no podíamos ir al campo de juego, ¡porque un relámpago lo había golpeado! Muchos de los árboles estaban en el suelo y algunos habían aplastado a las diapositivas. Algunos postes eléctricos estaban en el suelo quebrado por la mitad! Después de ver todo en el parque, fuimos a la ciudad de Mascota.  Tiene un montón de tiendas, restaurantes y lugares de comprar helados. Es un pueblo más grande que Sayulita. Fuimos a un museo de las rocas. Todo estaba cubierto de rocas, ¡incluso las almohadas en las camas! Mientras Tamara, Theo y Andrea estaban comprando agua, Mamá llevó a los niños a una tienda de sombreros. Maxxi encontró un sombrero rosa que le gustaba mucho y lo usó hasta que necesitaba salir y volver a nuestro campamento. Cuando se dirigían al campamento vimos algunas caballos.  Cuando volvimos, hicimos la cena y me quedé dormido junto al fuego.  Sentada alrededor del fuego hablando con Gabi y Andrea era mi parte favorita del camping.
La mañana siguiente todo lo que hicimos fue deshacer las tiendas de campamento y desayunar. Después de esas dos cosas, subimos los coches y regresamos a casa en Sayulita.  Nos divertimos mucho al acampar cerca de Mascota. ¡Espero que usted la distrute también!
