Sayulita may be taking a big step forward in the area of emergency response. At the February 1st Grupo Pro Sayulita (GPS) meeting, Brian Singleton, the regional representative for the non-profit organization called Fire Fighters Crossing Boarders (FFCB), spoke about an important project. Singleton described FFCB as "a non-profit organization founded by firefighters for firefighters. We provide assistance to emergency response agencies located in Mexico by providing equipment, training and education to those who want it."

At the meeting, Singleton was thrilled to announce that with the recent elections in the municipality of Bahia de Banderas, there is finally support for the implementation of various fire/ambulance stations in the area. Brian has met numerous times with the president of Bahia de Banderas, Rafael Cervantes Padilla and the director of civil protection, Alfonso Moreno Ramirez of Bahia de Banderas area; these government officials have been key to making this project happen. The municipality currently has tweny trained firefighters and thirty more in training. The officials have worked out an agreement with our Sayulita Pemex gas station, which allows the station to receive its various permits, in trade for part of its land to construct a Fire/Ambulance station. The FFCB made a report with recommendations and the officials have now asked the government to provide funding toward these recommendations.

Specifically, Brian Singleton attended the GPS meeting to discuss what has been completed thus far with the project and what still needs to be done. Firefighters Crossing Borders and the Valle de Banderas have made sizable strides toward completing the process. Singleton talked to Grupo Pro Sayulita in an effort to inspire the Sayulita community to unite in making this station the best it can be. Brian relayed that FFCB already has secured a donated ambulance and has collected small equipment, like the "jaws of life" for Sayulita. Only a firetruck was lacking. Grupo Pro Sayulita readily agreed to support this great project by helping FFCB and the Zach Chambers Foundation get the $20,000 USD needed for the truck.

 

Proyecto de Bomberos Cruzando Fronteras

Parece que Sayulita va a ver un paso grande adelante! En la junta de Grupo Pro Sayulita(GPS), que ocurrió 1 de Febrero en el restaurante Don Chows, Brian Singleton, el representante regional para la organización non lucrativo se llama Fire Figthers Crossing Borders/FFCB (Bomberos Cruzando Fronteras) hablaba sobre un proyecto importante: FFCB esta describiendo como "un organización no lucrativo empezado por Bomberos para bomberos. Nosotros proporcionar asistencia a agencias de respuestas a emergencias en México por proporcionando equipo, entrenamiento y educación a los que quieran.

En la junta, Brian estaba emocionado a decir que con los elecciones del municipio de Bahia de Banderas, hay apoyo en fin para la implementación de estaciones de ambulancia y bomberos en el área. Brian ha juntado varios veces con el director de protección civil del área Bahia de Banderas. Esos funcionarios del gobierno han estado un gran parte a esos movimientos que están ocurriendo. La municipalidad tiene 20 bomberos ya entrenado y esta entrenando 30
mas. Los oficiales han hecho un acuerdo con la Sayulita estación de Pemex, que ayudaba el estación a recibir sus permisos en el comercio para un espacio en la tierra para construir el estación bombero y ambulancia. FFCB hizo un reporte con recomendaciones y los oficiales ahora ha preguntado el gobierno para ayudar con dinero a los recomendaciones.

Específicamente, Brian Singleton vino a la junta para hablar sobre que ha ocurrido y que falta todavía. FFCB y el Valle de Banderas ha hecho varios pasos adelantes a cumplir el proceso y Brian hablaba a GPS en un esfuerza a inspirar la comunidad de Sayulita a unir para crear un estación que es lo mejor que podemos hacer. Brian hablaba sobre

como FFCB ya ha tenido un donación de ambulancia y ha colectado equipos pequeños, como "las fauces de la vida" para Sayulita. Solamente falta el camión de los bomberos. No tomaba mucho tiempo para los miembros de GPS a decir que quieren apoyar este proyecto ayudando a FFCB y el Zach Chambers Foundation encontrar el $20,000 dólares necesario para la compra de la camión.
