Sayulita had its first Dia de Muertos Festival in the Plaza this year; the altars that Sayuleros made were beautiful and quite poignant, especially given that so many of the people whom the altars honored have died in recent years and months. One of my favorites was the altar for Leysa--looks to me as though she was a feisty woman. It was amazing to see such beauty in our little plaza.

Sayulita celebro su primer festival del Dia de Muertos este ano en la plaza y los altares que los Sayulero hicieron fueron hermosas y conmovedores considerando que muchos de los honorados de los altares fallecieron en los ultimos ano y meses. Uno de mis favoritos fue el altar para Leysa, parece que fue una mujer determinada. Fue increible ver tanta belleza.
