Bite This: Rib Eye Steak at Miro Vino

I have never liked using the word "awesome" for trifling issues, but the word surely does apply to the rib eye steak at Miro Vino, the restaurant on the east side of the square. Not only is this rib eye steak awesome, it is big, as in very huge!

Gabby and Andrea Villarrubia steered me to it (pun intended) and while it is at the top of both the price and cholesterol charts, it can easily feed two people, so the 460 peso pricetag can be halved. But, the real point is that this steak is succulent and tasty; the best steak in town, hands down. If I ever find a better one, I will let you know.

The steak is expertly grilled on an open flame, to order. Comes with hot roasted potatoes and a nice side of vegetables. If you want to splurge, this is the dish to splurge on.

And, if by any chance, you have room for dessert, the bananas with a sauce rich with Kahlua and topped by ice cream, will make your taste buds especially content. What the hell, you can start your diet the following day. Then, when you hit your goal, come back to Miro Vino to celebrate!

Muerde Esto: El Corte en Miro Vino

Nunca me ha gustado usar la palabra "impresionante" para asuntos triviales, pero sin duda la palabra se aplica a la carne en el ojo de la costilla Miro Vino, el restaurante en el lado este de la plaza. Esto no sólo es el rib-eye filete impresionante, es grande, como en muy grande!

Gabby y Villarrubia Andrea me condujo a él (nunca mejor dicho) y si bien es en la parte superior de ambos el precio y las cartas de colesterol, que puede alimentar a dos personas, por lo que la etiqueta de precio en pesos 460 puede reducirse a la mitad.
