From March 29th to April 4th we will have the Semana Santa (Holly Week) where a huge amount of visitors from all over Mexico and the world will come to enjoy everything that Sayulita has to offer.

On previous years we have had terrible experiences of drowning or almost drowning swimmers, surfing related accidents, drunk molesters, heat strokes and dehydration, stingray and jellyfish injuries, heart attacks, seizures, fights, dog bites, and a very long etc.

Without even mentioning all the environmental damage and pollution that is caused because of the lack of education among all.

This year we will take some preventive measures and that's why we need your help.

A couple of medical service and lifeguard stations in both north and south beaches are being set up in coordination with "Proteccion Civil" who are providing an ambulance that will be posted 24 hrs in the Sayulita highway intersection all the week.

Volunteers are needed for both stations, and thats why if you have lifeguard or paramedic training we ask you to volunteer with us in this stations from a couple of hours to the full week, you choose. There's plenty of work to do!

There will also be a "Keep the beach clean" program where you can also help by collecting trash and/or distributing trash bags among people.

Several things are needed, from water and snacks for the volunteers, to equipment and supplies for the stations and of course, enough trash bags.

We want this "Semana Santa" in Sayulita to be the safest, healthiest and cleanest ever.

Ya casi es "Semana Santa" en Sayulita, y necesitamos tu ayuda!

Del 29 marzo al 4 abril estaremos en la Semana Santa, donde una gran cantidad de visitantes de todo México y el mundo vienen a disfrutar de todo lo que Sayulita tiene para ofrecer.

 

En años anteriores hemos tenido experiencias terribles de ahogados o casi ahogados, accidentes relacionados con el surf, abusadores ebrios, golpes de calor y deshidratacion, picaduras de mantarraya y aguamala, ataques al corazón, convulsiones, peleas, mordeduras de perro, y un muy largo etc.

Sin mencionar todos los daños al medio ambiente y la contaminación que es causada por la falta de educación entre todos.

Este año vamos a tomar algunas medidas preventivas y por eso necesitamos tu ayuda.

Un par de estaciones de servicios médicos y guardavidas en las playas tanto al norte como al sur se están estableciendo en coordinación con "Protección Civil", quienes proporcionaran una ambulancia con servicio las 24 horas toda la semana en la intersección de la carretera Sayulita.

Se necesitan voluntarios para ambas estaciones, y es por eso que si tienes entrenamiento de paramédico o de guardavidas puedes ser voluntario con nosotros desde un par de horas hasta la semana completa, tu eliges. Hay mucho trabajo que hacer!

También habrá un programa de "Playa Limpia", en el que también puedes ayudar mediante la recolección de basura y/o la distribución de bolsas de basura entre las personas.

Se necesitan muchas cosas, desde agua y bocadillos para los voluntarios, equipos y suministros para las estaciones y, por supuesto, bolsas de basura suficientes.

Queremos que esta "Semana Santa" en Sayulita sea la más segura, más sana y limpia posible.
